I don't know what you mean by ';lighten up'; If you want something that applies a small amount of pigment you should get a bronzer or stippling brush:

Kabuki brushes are FULL coverage brushes made for mineral powder make up. If you used it to apply blush or highlighter you would apply far too much color.





MAC makes good quality brushes. I would look there.
