Where's the best place to apply blush to a round wide shaped face? (Be very specific!)?

I don't want the blush to make me look like a clown or super round. I want to kind of make my face look more oval-ish.Where's the best place to apply blush to a round wide shaped face? (Be very specific!)?
Contour your cheekbones, meaning use darker blush or bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks (below your cheekbones) and use your lighter color on the apples of your cheeks. Then use a highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones. This method makes your face look slimmer! Try watching this video.

The modern way to wear blush is to apply to the apple of your cheeks, and work outwards in an upward motion. This accentuates the cheeks which, for you rounder faced ladies, can make your face appear wider. To balance this out, use a subtle bronzer just under the apples of your cheeks to contour.

Be sure to find a bronzer that is flattering to your skin tone, otherwise you'll look like Chief Hiawatha.

If you're having trouble finding where to apply the bronzer, suck in your cheeks slighting, and where you see the hollows is roughly where you should apply.

Hope this helps. :)
you should definatly do some contouring !

it's easy :)

Get a bronzer, or any color the is a little darker then your skin tone. Suck your cheeks in, and apply just a little exactly where your skin goes in. Remeber, you can add more later if you want, as long as it's not too noticable. Then, get your fav blush and apply to your apples !
I read in Cosmo that Round face girls, like you and myself should apply MINIMAL blush on the APPLES of our cheeks. That means when you suck in its the part that sticks out the farthest. Blend out towards the temples.
take a very suttle color (not to pink or red) and go from your apples of your cheeks and then up a little towards your ear.
make a fish face and apply it to your cheek bones at an angle extending toward the hairline
To the apples of your cheeks.

Do any of you use cream blush? What is the best way to apply it?

Any tips are appreciated, thanks : ).Do any of you use cream blush? What is the best way to apply it?
With your fingers!Do any of you use cream blush? What is the best way to apply it?
to apply cream blush it's best to use your middle and ring finger... and blend it in slowly.. don't apply TOO much blush to your finger, cuz it'll end up TOO dark %26amp; can look like clown makeup.. lol.. just try it a few times %26amp; you'll get the hang of it.. good luck!

Just make sure to smile while applying it, so you would only be putting it on your cheeks instead of everywhere :) (what works for me is to apply it directly on my cheeks ,%26lt;mine is in a tube%26gt;, then blend it in with my ring finger. don't put too much on your cheeks bec. it's hard to remove!)
Cream blush is more for dry skin types, %26amp; you can apply it with your fingers..make sure to wash your hands before. =)

What NARS Blush will be best for me? Will it last for a while?

So I'm thinking about spluging on a NARS blush, but I don't know which one to buy. I have an olive skin tone with black hair and deep brown eyes.

Also, I was owndering how long a regular nars blush lasts (In terms of using the makeup?). Some people have said months, others longer than that (still others say weeks!).What NARS Blush will be best for me? Will it last for a while?
I LOVE Nars blush! Some of my favorite colors are Orgasm (their best seller- looks great on everyone! Like a peachy glow), Sin (a hint of mauve) and DeepThroat ( a bit more color than Orgasm). I would recommend going to your local Sephora, they carry Nars and can do a free consultation and try a few shades on you. What NARS Blush will be best for me? Will it last for a while?
I say your best bet is Orgasm which is their most popular product because its flatterin on most/all skin tones.Go to a department store or to Sephora or where ever they carry Nars to have someone help you find the most flattering shade for you.
I just bought the Nars orgasm and Its the most radiantly beautiful blush i have ever seen. but i'm worried i should have gotten sumatra... :(
I love NARS makeup. Its one of my fav's. I also have black hair, brown eyes and olive skin. I use Orgasm and Deep Throat. Deep Throat is a little darker. Their makeup lasts because it is so well made. I would go to your sephora because you could go online, but the colors never really look the same. Its def worth the splurge!
  • can you still tan with sunburn
  • What is the best way to apply blush?

ok well as a mac make up artist i can honestly tell you between blush and bronzer- almost EVERY girl has it wrong!

first with blush or bronzer, you never want to apply it to most of your face (like most people do) you want your face to look 3 dimensional not just one flat color, you know?

so the places you apply your blush(with a great big blush brush) are the tops of your cheeks when you smile, a little on the tip of your forehead, your point of your nose and on your chin- thats how u do it!

youll look beaoootiful dahhling! good luck!

on the cheekbone lightly not too much. then use a cover powder over it. i honestly don't use blush cause i feel i look like a clown but its mostly because i have naturally a little pink in my cheeks cause im fair skinned but you want to wear it so its not noticeble so just a little i say.
First, Smile really big. then, in the area that is chubby, apply in that area. make sure your blush is not too dark for your skin because you might look like a doll with rosey red cheeks.

Whats the best blush to buy?

i have a golden complexion..i need something which stays on.i live in the u.k....please include prices!

thanks xWhats the best blush to buy?
Dream Matte Mousse Blush is really soft and lasts. It looks super natural too and costs about 拢4 to 拢5 i believe. It may be less or a little bit more but is sold in most shops like ';Boots'; or ';SuperDrug';.

Just use a little bit. If you put too much it can look like you've come out with a rash!

DMMB also has a bit of glitter is well which is a nice finish.

Remember...what people like you may not like so its all open opinions. Try going to shops and seeing what they have on sale, the expensive ones have testers ect so see which one you prefer.

Blushes are generally just made to add a bit of a ';rosy cheek'; colour to give you a healthy look as some people can be quite pale. You need to look at the texture of the blush, the finish and the colour as some are light pink while others are deep pink. It's not as hard as looking for foundation!

Apply with brush or fingertips sweeping up your cheeks very gently. Generally worn ontop of foundation or powder if you don't need to wear foundation.

Blush can be a lifesaver if your looking a bit pale and are going out. I don't wear blush that much now because my cheeks are usually rosy but if im sick/got the cold then its good to make you look a bit healthier....some foundations can also take away your natural colour so you could also try a bronzer for some colour too.

GoodLuck.Whats the best blush to buy?
MAC blush is one of the best out there. It was originally designed for runway shows so it's almost like stage makeup. You can find it at stores that specialize in make-up and hair care. It is a little pricey and will run you about $40 but it is defiantly worth it.
neutrogena mineral sheers blush about $6 long lasting and good for the skin

What is the best way to brighten up an aging face, i.e. eyes, foundation, blush?

Ah, as we age, less is more. Get rid of any dark blue/baby blue eyeshadow. Stick with neutral colors on eyes, including brown eyeliner and mascara. No more black. Use a concealer under your eyes and to cover up any blemishes. Use a mineral foundation that's suited for your skin tone. Add a peachy blush to the apples of your cheeks and put on a nice light color lipstick followed by gloss. Don't forget to use a powder on your eyebrows to fill in any gaps. Now you're set. What is the best way to brighten up an aging face, i.e. eyes, foundation, blush?
